| About | Mr. Anaikar Abdul Shukoor Sahib started the business in 1939. He was a pioneer in many ways. At a time when few, if any, were exporting leather, he developed markets abroad and built relationships with customers. He established many companies including a Shoe upper and Leather Goods factory. The company's tannery was equipped to produce 750,000 sft/month in 1980's. However, the erstwhile Anaikar group was formally restructured in 1995 which resulted in many new companies being formed. One of them was MARK LEATHERS, which was established in 1995. Mark Leathers, the tannery, with a production capacity for Finished Leathers of 2.5 million/annum. We manufacture finished leather including Upper Leathers, Nappa Leather for shoes, garments and Leather goods. Sheep Cabretta for Shoes and Gloves, being the speciality products. ANACUIR is the latest company formed in 2005, of the ANAIKAR group. All exports henceforth would be under this new brand name.
