| About | Custom Composites Ltd was formed in 1982 and specialises in the manufacture of tubes from composite materials. Our range of carbon fibre tubes, glass fibre tubes and specialised composite components are used in wide ranging applications within industrial, military, electrical engineering, marine and sports industries. Our long history and wide experience has LED the company to have a reputation for quality and performance. We have in house capacity for roll wrapping and moulding composite tubes from high specification pre-preg materials along with subsequent machining, adhesive bonding and painting facilities to produce fully finished components to customer specifications. We also undertake product design and process development for special purpose carbon fibre and glass fibre tubes and components. Our long involvement with military markets includes manufacture of composite components and antenna housings for battlefield communication systems, composite telescopic masts for fixed and mobile applications and specialised carbon fibre tube for military equipment support platforms. Our high specification glass fibre tube has LED us to become the primary UK supplier of insulating operating rods for high voltage overhead power line applications, a market we have supplied since the company was formed. The company also supplies the sports and marine industries with high quality carbon fibre tube products for mountain bike suspension forks, racing yacht and dinghy spinnaker poles, tillers and tiller extensions.
