| About | EMA-Emergency Medical Assistance is a nonprofit organization which has in view, the implementation of an emergency medical service for extreme situations, working with volunteers. EMA will provide medical assistance especially for people in isolated areas such as villages situated in mountainous regions, who do not have access to immediate and qualified medical care, or do not have the means to reach a medical facility. EMA also works on elaborating and implementing a First Aid training program for a few `representative` persons in isolated or far-off areas in which the ambulance or any medical service takes more than 10 minutes to arrive. In short we try to create a network formed by medical trained persons who can give basic medical assistance, first aid, to people in need until the qualified medical services arrive. EMA also militates for implementing First Aid programs for pupils and students, in schools, high-schools, and universities. |
