A. headquartered in Athens, Greece, is a technical clays company established for the purpose of developing the largest attapulgite and saponite deposits in Europe. Following a 5-year extensive research and land acquisition campaign, Geohellas owns the deposits in full. The on going drilling and mapping program has already proved reserves in excess of 20, 000, 000 MT. Geohellas modern processing plant is located adjacent to the mines near the city of Grevena in Northern Greece, to facilitate integrated production (mining, processing, packaging) . Selective mining is performed in three different mines. Processing involves natural drying, pre-crushing, crushing, drying / thermal activation, milling, and screening / sizing. Packaging capabilities are versatile and range from large big bulk bags to small open mouth type bags. The plant has an annual production capacity of 100, 000 MT, with design accommodation to double in a short time period. Products include industrial absorbents, carriers, cat litter, binders in molecular sieves / synthetic zeolites, free flow and anti caking additives, additives in construction products, bleaching earths used in the refining of oils, gelling / suspension aids, and others. Operations and sales commenced in 2004 with primary emphasis on technical products. |
