| About | A little bit about our business. We operate a small Sheep Farm with 1,500 sheep which we are steadily increasing to some 2,000 in the next year on 8,000 acres producing good quality medium clean soft white fleece wool to the market in the 23 to 30 micron range.. We sell home grown meat products and home grown vegitables direct from the farm to our local market Our retail unit is situated some 30 miles from the Farm and offers a wide variety of produce to the local market. We stock anything from office to agricultural vehicles. We also retail a range of cycles both to the market and to the hire for reward clients. We plan to open a local Diner alongside the retail outlet where a variety of local dishes will be created. We plan to cater especially for the client that wants to savour traditional Falkland Island home cooking using fresh meat and vegitables grown on our Farm complemented with a wide assortment of home made cakes, breads etc.. We plan to offer a convienant service to many thousands of visiting tourists and a large British garrison. We are a completely family run business having owned the Farm for over 25 years. The retail section of the business was aquired in 2008 but retailing has been an ongoing business for nearly 20 years. The vast majority of imports are received from the United Kingdom and our wool exports are sold to the United Kingdom where an agent looks after are sales. |
