| About | Our company, Grund a. S., was founded in 1990 as a manufacturer of fine bathroom accessories, specifically, bath mats, shower curtains, curtain rods, etc. We also offer other bath accessories, like mineral bath cosmetics by Spa Tradition Carlsbad. Since its inception as a family company operating out of the family's home Grund has grown into a major supplier, which today dominates its home market, the Czech Republic, and has a significant presence in number of EU countries. We export our products to more than 40 countries in the world. During last years we have become the European leader on the bath textile and accessories market. Nowadays, we employ c. 200 people in the Czech Republic and other 30 people in our subsidiary "Grund Deutschland". Our best customers are especially DIY stores as OBI, BAUMAX, BAUHAUS etc. , in various European countries. Further important customers are: Manor in Switzerland, Karstadt, Kaufhof (ca 100 luxury stores) , Grand Stores (Emirates) , Blue Salon etc. In another 32 countries we have exclusive business partners and we adjust our products to the requirements of every local market. Grund prides itself not only in high product quality but also design. Our offer is quite wide and variable, thanks to the fact that we dispose of the designer department, which is able to project collection in accordance to conventions and wishes of final customers. We also cooperate with world famous designers, as e. G. Luigi Colani (who exclusively designed the Colani collection for us) , and we adjust our bath mat models every year in accordance to the up-to-date fashion of colors. The Luigi Colani designed line of bathroom accessories marks the latest accomplishment in the company's history.
