| About | INELCO S. A. was founded in Cali in 1949 with the objective of serving the electrical requirements of the southwestern Colombian market. It was the first formal electrical engineering company founded in this region of the country. We currently have five divisions and one affiliate company as follows: 1) ENERGY DIVISION. Designs and contracts turnkey electrical installations for residential, commercial, industrial and utilities clients. Also designs and installs structured cabling data systems. 2) SERVICES AND MAINTENANCE DIVISION Public Lighting Maintenance Service. For installation, operation and maintenance of the public lighting systems of several cities and towns in the Cauca Valley State. 3) TELECOMMUNICATIONS DIVISION. Initiated operations in late 1994 to exploit the expanding opportunities in this market. Represents and distributes telecommunications equipment to the telco utilities. Our major turnkey projects have been the Computerized Cable Network Monitoring Systems for the telephone networks of the cities of Cali, Cartagena and Medellin (SCADA system for the external telephone networks of said cities) . 4) STRUCTURED CABLING DATA SYSTEMS Voice and data networks. 5) COMMERCIAL DIVISION. Acts as representative or distributor for several electric equipment manufacturers, and supplies to the power generation and distribution utilities, industry, constructors and electrical contractors. We have also supplied local telcos with other supplies and equipment used in the outide plant such as telephone cable, gas tube protectors, leak locating equipment, fault locating equipment, sump pumps for evacuating water in manholes, ventilation equipment for manholes, etc. 6) TABLESA SA. Our affiliate company, manufactures and assembles electrical substations (typically at the 13. 2 and 34. 5 kV levels commonly used in our region) , power panels, motor control centers (MCCs) , ductbars and ductways, cable trays, etc. Tablesa SA has supplied medium and low tension products for major industrial and commercial projects. We have over 100 direct employees at INELCO DEL PACIFICO LTDA. And 25 at TABLESA SA. , and also employ another 150 indirect persons through subcontractors. TABLESA S. A. obtained in January 31Th of 2001, the international certification by IQNet and ICONTEC in Quality Management System ISO 9001 for the following field of activities: Design and manufacturing of medium voltage metalclad and metal enclosed switchgear, low voltage metal enclosed switchgear, low voltage distribution switchboards, motor control centers, for electric substations and industrial enclosures for power distribution, operation and control.
