| About | Intermodal solutions, as a key supplier to the Australian freight industry offers low cost, high quality equipment solutions to road, rail, and coastal freight companies through containerisation. Over recent years the challenge for national transport providers has been to provide key logistical solutions to the end user via a means of containers, which form an integral part of the logistical supply chain. This is commonly referred to as intermodal, meaning linking all modes of transport. Over the last ten years, a handful of companies have attempted to offer this type of specialised equipment and most have failed by offering poor designs that in return have cost the customer down time in idle equipment and ongoing repair costs. The reasons for this are varied, but are primarily a result of substandard engineering/design coupled with a poor understanding of the customer needs. Intermodal solutions has identified a need to supply superior design and high quality purpose built equipment to the Australian and overseas market. Our success has LED to the diversification of our business activities into other areas that are non transport related by using container design as a platform for innovation. This innovation has resulted in the development of a wide variety of specialised purpose built single application containers. Our range of containers available to the market place, range from 5 feet in length right through to 48 feet in length. These come in many variations including, hard side, curtain side, side door, pallet wide, open top, platform, end wall, bulk and refrigerated type configurations. Our company primarily targets new container supply and design, however we do have regular access to a wide range of second hand containers when and if the need arises. Intermodal solutions structure allows us to offer competitive pricing to the market place and the ability to provide customers with the option to buy, hire or lease containers which caters for greater financial flexibility. |
