| About | With an expressive partnership, small and big producers of lemon, localized at Jaiba, north area of Minas Gerais, Brazil, are trying to expand its exports. Currently, Jaiba's producers exports about 33% of its production, about 2 thousand tons per year. But the potentiality of the production can reach more than 1 million tons of fruits and vegetables per year, since that it's an irrigated area producing fruits the full year. When fully implemented the potential production, more than 140 thousand jobs will be created. The vast irrigated area of the north of Minas Gerais, Brazil, that uses the water of Saint Francisco River, one of the longest and most voluminous of Brazil, is recognized as one of the current most important agrobusiness frontiers of the country and the greatest irrigated complex of Latin America. |
