Johnson started the company in 1976 in Seattle, Washington, to serve customers throughout the western United States and Pacific Rim customers in Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia. It is now succeeded by Lisa Johnson. Today we serve customers around the world including Europe and Middle East by filling their needs with beautiful North American hardwood and softwood. We supply most of the species grown in North America. However, there are some species that we ship the most like Alder, Ash, Cherry, Cottonwood, Hard Maple, Hickory, PC Maple, Red Oak, White Oak, Douglas Fir, Hemlock, and Walnut.
