We are a cork stoppers manufacturer company subsidiary of Lafitte, an international group founded by a French family with a reputation in the cork industry for supplying the finest cork for over four generations. From the cooperation among Lafitte Group companies, we have acquired an international dimension, important to spread and sell our product, but above all, through the exchange of experiences we have developed rapidly and are continuously searching for technological solutions and perfection. Since 1956, Lafitte Cork Portugal is strategically located in Portugal, home of the biggest oak forests in the world supplying more than fifty percent of the cork in the industry. Here we are able to enjoy privileged conditions by combining the extraordinary traditional know-how acquired through centuries by the competent local professionals, with the most recent updated technology based scientific knowledge. We strongly believe that the secret of our products quality resides on the efficiency of the manufacturing process, from the cutting of the bark to the finished product. In this way, Lafitte hand selects raw cork of impeccable quality and every step of the production and distribution process is carefully monitored in compliance with our proudly certification standards: ISO 9001:2008; HACCP food safety certification; And also International Code of Cork Practices. The efficiency of our quality control system allows a continuous raise of our customers expectations, by spotless fulfilling the rules, conditions and legal requirements applicable to the product. Our experience tells us that this is the only means to assure that all of the 450 million cork stoppers produced annually can meet our costumers most demanding criteria.
