We went in technical collaboration with germany's no. 1 steel maker "hennegsdorfer stahl engineering gmbh" to manufacture higher end tmt bars called "ms thermex (Germany) tmt bars". The important feature of tmt bars is enormous cost saving in construction which gave the Indian construction industry a much needed boost. The products conform to almost all major international standards and find wide usage in the construction of multistoried buildings, dams, bridges, flyovers and power plants as a basic reinforcement material. 'no compromise on quality stand' has also helped the group to earn the confidence and loyalty of its consumers. Although there are many tmt bars available in the country today, it is only the ones that are produced through a process with adequate capabilities, process optimization and strict control that should be used. What is special to the ms thermex tmt steel: 1. Higher strength 2. Higher uts / yield ratio (enhanced elongation) 3. Higher fatigue strength 4. Higher resistance to heat 5. Higher resistance to corrosion 6. Excellent weldability 7. Excellent ductility 8. Saves 14-19% steel compared to ctd bars 9. Better safety of structures owing to higher strength and durability 10. Pre-fabrication of meshes possible 11. Good bond between bar and concrete 12. Ease in working on-site Ms thermex tmt steel is produced in fe 500, is 1786 grade. However its carbon levels are maintained at much lower than the specification, which results in excellent ductility, high bendability, better corrosion resistance and superior weldability. The other undesirable impurities (like sulphur & phosphorous) that impair the overall longevity of rebar inside construction, are also maintained at much lower than specification in ms thermex. This is possible because of the purity of steel of ms thermex, which is 100% processed through the primary steel making route. Ms thermex, Germany tmt bars is available right from 8 mm to 32 mm. |
