| About | Who we are... Situated in the heart of the Matzikama District on the banks of the Olifants River, on the West Coast of South Africa, lies a small town called Vredendal. This small town is home to one of the biggest wine cellars in the Southern Hemisphere and the region produces in excess of 100 million liters of wine a year. Matzikama (meaning: place of water) Organic Products is a level 4 Black Economic Empowerment project started in 2010 with the help of the local community. With the support of the local wine cellars we aim to produce and deliver various organic products, specifically grape seed oil, grape seed flour and other essential oils of the purest quality and build a business that will support the impoverished and unemployed of the region. We are currently expanding our production capacity to be able to deliver other oils such as flax seed oil, sunflower oil, sesame oil, macadamia oil and other vegetable and essential oils.
