| About | Our Aim as NFAST is make as many people as possible aware in first aid and safety and train them to be competent and confident whenever it comes to first aid and safety. We are there to assist companies, factories, shops and offices meet the regulations of the occupational health and safety act 85 of 1993 as required by the Department of Labour. Nfast provides first aid, safety, and fire training to anyone that is interested, from private individuals to schools, domestics, businesses etc. We offer training nationally, all over the country as is required by the client. Why choose NFAST? With safety being our primary concern, we have done international research in putting our training together, thus ensuring that out clients receive top quality training that compares to some of the other leading first aid and safety institutes in South Africa. Our first aid assessors and moderators which present the courses are registered and accredited by HWSETA (Health and Welfare Sector Education and Training Authority) , our courses are aligned with unit standards as set out by SAQA (South African Qualifications Authority) and the Dept of Labour. We are also currently in the process of translating our courses into an African language, and intend presenting it in an African language as soon as it is ready. Nfast is also a supplier of first aid and safety equipment and material which is of a high quality and meets the specifications as required by the dept of Labour. We also assist with emergency planning and strategic emergency equipment placing to ensure optimum evacuation and safety in case of an emergency. Our training at NFAST consists of theoretical and practical training and is presented in such a way that it is easy for any person to understand, should any person not understand anything our facilitators are ready and willing to explain until the person understands the work. With regards to the practical aspect of training we simulate various possible medical emergencies with the students which prepare them for medical emergencies. Our CPR and ARTIFICIAL RESPIRATION training is preferred by many companies as we do not have one or two CPR manikins which get shared amongst all the students in class, instead NFAST provides each student their own adult / child and baby manikin which they will use for the duration of the course. After every course the manikins are washed and sterilised ensuring that every course starts with clean sterilised manikins. On the completion of a course an assessment is done on each student to ensure that they are competent and will be able to complete the task at hand, if they are found competent they will be issued with a certificate which is recognised by the Dept. of Labour and will be valid for two years. Nfast also offers refresher courses to ensure that the first aider stays current. At NFAST we understand that every environment is not the same and we try to present the courses according to the environment in which it will be utilised, we can also customise courses as the client requires on condition that it remains within the guidelines of first aid and safety. |
