| About | The West African sub-region is rich in natural resources and a wide range of commodities. Capital goods and commodities from the various countries are of interest to potential buyers in Europe and other parts of the world. However, a number of common issues are of importance in the process of negotiating and successfully implementing trade contracts in the West African countries. The key issues are access to high level contacts, and the financial capability of the overseas buyer. Most buyers use the services of Consultants. This is beneficial to local suppliers to guarantee an appropriate buyer for a commodity or product, and of equal importance to the overseas buyer to ensure that the supplier is committed to the contract.
