About | 205 Twentieth Street North, Suite 1006 Birmingham, Alabama 35203 205-323-8436 Office 205-323-8438 Fax August 3, 2010 Company Summary Alabama Legislation In 1999, the Alabama Legislature passed a law designed to license businesses that dealt with scrap tires and their origin. That gave some governments, such as Jefferson County, the authority to aggressively monitor scrap tires and pursue illegal dumps. The county hired a fulltime inspector for the job that only addressed part of the problem which is to Reduce the stockpiles and decrease Illegal Dump Sites and Out- of State Illegal Transport To apply a better storage for them (Legal Dumping Sites) To find a better use for them (End Use Market) The huge quantity of automobile tires produced annually worldwide and their relative short functioning life warrants a practically unlimited raw material market thus creating the need for a shredded product supply. It is our intent to continue to operate as a Scrap Tire Collection Disposal Facility that receives and collects scrap tires and retreads at a facility set up for the disposal of the collected tires. Business Location- Job creation After assessing and confirming the need for a shredding plant, it was decided that this Alabama location also fabled as part of the Black Belt would serve as the most strategic settlement employing a minimum of 125 fulltime employees. Site of Operation Structure Type 9 Acres Zoning Status Industrial Processing Plant 6 Bays@ 25,000 sq/ft Includes o Storage Plant o Tires/ Multiple Shredding Equipment o Administrative Offices Production line of 2500 tons per hour @ 24 hours per day @ 7 days per week (125 fulltime employees) Professional Tire Collectors & Recycling, Inc. started during 1998 as a sole proprietorship. During the year of 2000 a corporation formed by Stanley T. Williams who later partnered with Chad W. Jackson. Currently Mr. Jackson and Williams are expanding the operation which would serve as a convenience to customers and would place more stability in the current image of the business operation. (Sub-station) The primary intent of this company is to provide necessary research and facts relative to the operation of a processing plant within the State of Alabama. Alabama is the only lagging state in the Southeast and the country to pass a scrap tire law.
