| About | Dating back to olden times, tea leaves in Thailand have traditionally been consumed in the form of "Miang" (fermented chewy leaves) . The exploration and plantation of tea for commercial purposes began here in 1941 by Raming Tea Co. Ltd. (formerly named Bai Cha Tra Phukhao) . We pioneered tea plantations on a total area of 3, 000 rai in mountainous regions near Mae Taeng District in Chiang Mai's watershed areas, often mentioned as one of the world's best locations for tea cultivation. Since 1967 we have developed our expertise in supplying various types of superior quality teas under the trademark "Raming Tea". We are also the only manufacturer of black tea in Thailand. Production at Raming begins in the morning mist. The finest tea leaves are carefully hand-selected, a delicate process that can't be rushed.
