My company which is based in Cape Town, South Africa, is operating and trading as a one man operation at this stage. Although Im yet to register myself as a company, I'm involved in the designing and production of craft items, which I sell on the market. With a graphic design background, my craft product have a strong artistic flair. The main product consists of a range of three dimensional paintings depicting various scenes in and arround the Cape Town. These are made using Cur-out tins which are nailed onto thin pieces of board, and raised on thin wood strips to give a 3-D effect. I manufacture these products using a large component of recycled materials which are obtained from my immediate surroundings In addition to the financial gains I derive from my craft, I view my products as a vital contribution to the environmen. By transforming what others peolpe dicard sa waste material, to admirable works of art, I feel Im making quite an important contribution to the environmental awareness drive. |
