All SMI Ball Valve's incorporate premium components, manafactured to industry standards, and are throughly inspected before shipment from the factory. SMI Ball valves offer a precision ground, solid alloy steel ball which is heat treated and has a high quality surface finish. The critical ball edge has blended curvatures to reduce seat wear and provide a high cycle life. The "Double Lock Nut Design" Standard on all SMI Valves, design allows handles to be easily and safely removed while the valve is under full line pressure. The Valves have been tested at 2500 psi.
