| About | We are a Sri Lanka based group of consultants working mainly in agricultural projects with rural communities. We provide these communities with apropriate technical advice and services and assist in organising their activities and in finding markets. These services are provided free, but where possible the rural production units feed our own nucleus projects. One of our on going projects is the cottage level production of "Virgin Coconut oil". In this project the members produce their own dried scraped coconut in what ever quantity is available. Some members may have as little as 4 or 5 coconut palms, where as others may go up to over 100 palms. The dried scraped coconut is brought to a cooperative owned mechanical press where the Virgin Coconut oil is extracted. Our expertise covers mini-hydro and dendro power generation projects and we assist enterpreuners in locating suitable sources and also with obtaining approvals of the State Energy and Environmental authorities. In the field of Agro-Chemicals we work closely with the Registrar of Pesticides and are able to guide and obtain Product Registration. |
