About We must start saying that we are not brokers, we are principals, and we deal directly with producers and large traders. We have 19 years experience in sugar, and must say that the world sugar business has become a very difficult and tricky thing. Dishonest offers, absurd volumes and unreal prices. A big mess. Any offer must be double checked. POP, CL, PB, POF, etc, are frequently forged, and have lost their original value. We frequently see "bargain offers", like "cancelled order, ship on high sea", "incredible but true", and so on, which does not exist at all. Of course, threre is a great deal of naivety among potential buyers. Frauds are only successful because buyers allow them to happen. Buyers are attracted by "easy money", and there are no miracles, not any Santa Claus in the sugar business. Buyers think that they will not lose money if the seller does not comply with the LC requirements. They ignore that documents can be falsified, and once shipping documents are correct on their face, banks will have to pay on these documents, irrespective of the conditions of the goods. The secret (if it would be a secret) for buyers to be safe in commodities, is related to the supplier. Low price should be the last reason to safely buy sugar. Suppliers have to be 100% trustworthy. Buyers have to deeply investigate about sellers historical life and performance.

BRAZILIAN PRODUCTION

Buyers should know that Brazil is a large sugar producer (over 30 million tons in 2007), but with very low production of white refined, Icumsa 45 (near 1.5 million tons/year). We should also know that this sugar is disputed by more than 20 large traders. To fulfil the need of sugar producers for finance and security, sugar is traded before production. Therefore, third parties, new comers, will not be able to get large quantities. Most Icumsa 45 is committed to those traders. So, random offers, like 100,000 mt, and more, are just nice dreams. Most Brazilian sugar for export is raw brown (VHP), for the refineries to produce Icumsa 45. Brazil also exports large volumes of white crystal sugar, Icumsa 150 (which is perfect for human consumption), mostly in containers.

TYPES/GRADES OF SUGAR
One of the most popular and internationally recognized specifications for sugar is determined by ICUMSA (International Commission for Uniform Methods of Sugar Analysis). Specification for sugar is very clear, and that's why sellers do not like to send samples. No need for that. Once buyers clearly spedify the sugar they need, reliable suppliers will deliver that sugar (and a Quality Certificate, issued by an internationally recognized inspection company, will be supplied by serious sellers).

Brazil can supply following sugars:

White Refined Sugar:
* polarization min. 99.80%
* colour max. 45 Icumsa
* ash max. 0.04%
* moisture max. 0.04%

White Crystal Sugar:
* polarization min. 99.70%
* colour max. 150 Icumsa
* ash max. 0.08%
* moisture max. 0.08%

Raw Brown Sugar (VHP):
* polarization from 99.00% to 99.50%
* colour between 450 and 1200 Icumsa
* ash max. 0.15%
* moisture max. 0.15%

PACKING
We can supply as follows:
* big bags of 1000 kg
* 50 kg pp bags

BRAND/MARK

Can be with suppliers' brand, or with buyers' brand, to be agreed.

QUANTITY

In our specific case, we prefer to supply smaller volumes (from 500 to 10.000 mt per shipment) in containers (up to 27 tons net each, as per buyers' possibilities). It's safer and easier to get smaller volumes. Eventually, we can work full ship loads, but this is not our goal.
