| About | The W. C. Redmon Co. was formed in 1883 by a very young William Clark Redmon. He began making hand woven baskets in Denver, Indiana and selling them in his local community. Through many UPS and downs, William was able to continue his quest to establish a successful family business and by 1911 he had moved into the present plant location. Through two World Wars, the Great Depression and three devastating fires, William persevered and now, one hundred twenty years later, the fourth generation of the Redmon family continues to shape the business that William worked so hard to start so many years ago. Through a long tradition of manufacturing, the Redmon Company has produced a broad range of products for the Infant / Juvenile, Furniture and Housewares markets. Like William, we also face many obstacles that continue to shape and influence our business. We continue to manufacture some of our core products but we are also moving aggressively to bring in new products from Asia and around the world. We operate from a single plant in Peru, IN and ship our product throughout the US and to many points around the world. We strive to operate today using the same principles that have guided us for many years, honesty, integrity, service and value. |
