| About | Our specialty is high quality hardwoods. In addition to random width and length lumber we specialized in width sorted products for the molding and flooring industries. Plank flooring blanks (elements) and specifically Walnut, Hickory and White Oak blanks (elements) are a major product group. We also offer reclaimed, solid, mixed oak flooring. Widths: 3", 4", 4.5", 4.75" and 5" widths. The best value and greatest concentration of availability is in the 4.5" and 4.75" widths. We can also do 6" - 12" as a reclaimed product, albeit in smaller quantities and or on accumulation. We also have the ability to do both new and reclaimed american black walnut. In the new product, we can do walnut in all those widths but with a greater degree of certainty and with somewhat shorter lead times. They can be produced in both solid and engineered as well. Lengths: can be from 16" and up but depending up grading characteristics, this flooring can have a particularly long average length. It is reasonable to have a 12' average length in some cases. Grades: In broad terms, we can do a character/rustic grade, Select and "dirty top" grades. Most of this would be solid but could be engineered (9 ply baltic birch substrate) as well, especially those products being made out of resawn beams. Pricing dynamics don't necessarily make narrower face widths as cheaper items. We have to work with the standard widths that are found in vintage buildings as a starting point. In addition to flat sawn product, a lot of the beams and joists were straight sawn at the time and as a result, there is a significant amount of rift & quartered product available. We can't tell how much just yet but enough for production and sale of viable production runs. We can also do wide floors in rustic White oak out of new product. This can be either solid or engineered. Beyond that I can also provide you with flooring in these exotics: Brazilian Cherry Santos (smelly) Mahogany African Mahogany White Mahogany Brazilian Teak - light Widths in can be up to an 11" face and can be end matched up to 19.5' in length in the Brazilian Cherry. |
