Atermit was founded in 1956 by Mr. Emin OZGUR to produce fibre-cement roofing materials in Adana, Turkey. Over the years, the company expanded with economies of scope to become a major construction and packaging materials manufacturer with net manufacturing revenues of 50 million USD. Today, Atermit manufactures materials for cunstruction, packaging and food packaging* in 4 plants and 5 sales offices with her 500 employees. Atermit has more than 500 distributors situated in all cities and most provinces of Turkey. Atermit exports the manufactured products to 35 countries regularly. Export revenues have exceeded 4.8 million USD in 2003. Atermit plans to continue her growth in core businesses focusing on productivity and innovation with an emphasis on respect for the environment.
